Gunjur News Online

Gunjur News Online (GNO) was established and launched in July 2017 as a voluntary community project. With the aim of providing news that readers need to know about the community of Gunjur, - its people, its events and what's to happening in the future.

Our aim is to provide a distinctive voice for Gunjur and its surrounding villages. By extension, we also report on nation-wide issues that will affect people in the area - such as health, local political changes, environment, elections, business, sports, education, entertainment and culture.

Our overall purpose, is to bridge the information gap and to provide a platform that gives voices to the community and to promote the area's citizens, organisations and business enterprises. Gunjur News Online aims to give our local communities the much needed focus they deserve and share their achievements as well as their problems.

We aim to grow to be a force for good source of news, supplying a constant flow of news, features, information, and supporting initiatives to boost the community and local economy.

As a non-profit project, income derived from future advertising and sponsorship will be deployed in two areas: a) to maintain and develop the Gunjur.Online site and cover expenses incurred as a result of running the platform; and b), to support local organisations and activities through regular contributions and sponsorship to these activities.

Your help and support is required as part of this community-based project – by becoming involved and offering press releases and/or stories, articles and details of events we can publish. We would also like to hear from you, areas you think we can expand our coverage.
