Brikama Area Council

Brikama Area Council is a Local Government Authority in the West Coast Region of the Gambia. It's mandated to mobilize tax and provide basic service delivery for it's taxpayers.

Brikama Area Council is one of the rapidly urbanizing Local Government Area (LGA) and the largest in The Gambia with its headquarters is in Brikama Town, West Coast Region which is thirty-two (32) kilometers from the Capital City of Banjul. The LGA covered an area of 1764 kilometers with a total population of 699,704 thus representing 37% of the Country’s population according to the 2013 Population & Housing Census.
