Bijilo Medical Center

Bijilo Medical Center/Hospital (BMC) is a non-governmental health facility with the goal of providing comprehensive and affordable quality medical services to all in The Gambia. BMC is non-profit orientated. Through a series of coordinated support, Dr. Musa Touray, a Gambian citizen who trained in Europe and USA, established the hospital in 2002.

Our Team

Bijilo Medical Center is proud to work with an international and multilingual team: patients can be attended to in English, French, German, Dutch and all local Gambian languages.

Our team consists of physicians, nurses, nurse attendants, laboratory technicians, a Radiography technician, pharmacy assistants, a physiotherapist, receptionists, accountants, an administrator, cleaners and maintenance assistants.
